Rod Glove's G-Man on Smith Lake

With some local anglers from the Alabama Bass Trail in contention for a spot at the 2018 GEICO Bassmaster Classic, they competed against some well known pros, including local Gerald Swindle.

The Rod Glove's Pro Elite, Gerald Swindle competed against not only the other national pros but the state and national competitors and finished in the top 20.

Gerald Swindle gives us some insight into Lewis Smith Lake and as a local to the area, he goes in depth on how the spotted bass stay shallow similiar to largemouth bass.

Always full of humor, Gerald has a love/hate relationship with spotted bass and has been known to let everyone know that he threw everything at them on Day 1 with marginal success.  His tips on casting to shaded areas of docks, pitching to banks and trees, and pretty much common sense used for largemouth bass presentations, work on spotted bass as well.

Gerald's experience and confidence on the water allowed him an overall finish of 17th place with 19lb 9oz but his sense of humor is what make's him #1 in our books.

Take a look at the video that shows his techniques on Smith Lake.
