The road to becoming a pro, with The Rod Glove Chris Liobios

For many passionate anglers the dream of becoming a full time professional angler is the ultimate accomplishment.  The reality of waking up early before many others, hitting the water and figuring out where the fish are, along with the challenges of acquiring or maintaining a boat, truck and motor can be overwhelming.

The Rod Glove, Chris Liobios dreams of becoming a Pro and is on that road to achieving his goal.

Chris started his career early with a 12 foot Jon boat, with a 1984 Mercury motor and a 30lb trolling motor.  Creating a livewell from an old Coleman cooler, a bilge pump and some tubing he was able to hit the tournament trail in New Jersey.

Fast forward to today, where Chris fishes from his Skeeter FX20 bass boat with Yamaha 250, tricked out leds, Power Poles and Hummingbird and Navionics electronics.

Chris has fished in the BASS Northern Opens both as a co-angler and recently as an angler.  Although presenting it's challenges, Chris is determined to one day make it pro in the Bass Opens and qualify for the Bassmaster Elite Series and ultimately the Bassmaster Classic.

"Chasing little green and brown fish around the country is what I love to do. Being awake while most people are still asleep, getting to see the sunrises over beautiful bodies of water, as well as the sunsets, and figuring out the every changing puzzle is what attracts me to the sport. I am a competitive person. I want to win and I will do everything that I can do ensure the best possible outcome, not only with fishing but with everything that I do."
